Get to know us...

Here are just a few extra things we organise and offer that we'd love you to know about!

Intergenerational Care

Intergenerational Care Opportunities

A few years ago we were lucky enough to work with a local care home to provide an intergenerational care programme. Everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed our weekly sessions and is something we are keen to organise again in the coming months!

We have 'grandparent sessions' for our children's family members to join us for reading, singing, painting and anything else they fancy getting involved in!

Forest School Learning
Forest School Learning is an approach we aim to encourage everyday at Diddydots.
We support risky play where the children assess their own risks.
Being free-flow, the children have the chance to explore the environment through multiple senses.
Daily opportunities to get muddy and wet, yet staying warm and dry while wearing waterproof clothing.

The Curiosity Approach

Promoting awe and wonder in early childhood

Curiosity Approach

In February 2022 all our hard work paid off and we became a fully accredited 'Curiosity Approach setting!

We are proudly the first pack-away setting in Essex to gain the accreditation.

We aim to provide a natural environment for your little ones to explore and learn from - an extension of the home. We are stepping away from loud, colourful plastic toys and print outs so that the children can develop their skills in a more calm way based on their own interests and opinions.

Here are a few lovely comments made by some of our supportive families

We feel so privileged our little lady can be a part of Diddydots who know what's really important to children. The nurturing and 'childhood friendly' environment you guys lay out is more valuable than any handwriting or 'homework'

My little one comes home and talks about turning the lights off to save electricity, she talks about what she found at the beach, how to make play-dough and sign language signs she knows. I think it's so important to let them be kids and play... honestly you guys are amazing!

Ivy's only been going for a short while and already her speech has improved - she asks me questions which she never did before. She lights up when I ask about her day at nursery and reels off everything she has done. Thoroughly couldn't thank you enough Rachel and everyone at Diddydots for what you all do and manage for our little ones.
