Get to know us!
Based in St Lawrence Essex, at Diddydots Nursery, we are a small, single room, pack away setting. We accept children from 6 months up to 5 years and provide high quality care and education for all in a natural, home from home environment following the curiosity approach.
Being a pack away setting means we are constantly adapting and changing our room to meet the interests and needs of the children.
We work in partnership with parents to help your children learn and develop in a way in which we can also promote equality and value diversity.
We also try our best to add to the life and well-being of the local community. In early 2020 we were lucky enough to be granted some saplings by the Woodland Trust which we planted in the field next to us. As you can imagine we are all excited to watch them grow!
We regard parents and carers as members who have full participatory rights.

Membership of Diddydots carries expectations on parents for their support and commitment. We aim to ensure that each child:
- is in a safe, stimulating environment
- is given care and attention
- is given the chance to join with other children and adults to live, play, work and learn together
- is helped to take foward their learning and development by being helped to build on what they already know and can do
- has a key worker who makes sure they are progressing satisfactorily
- is in a setting where parents are partners that help to shape the service we offer

Fees and Funding
From January 2023 our fees are £8.00 per hour per child. However Government funding is available for children aged 9 months, 2, 3 and 4 years old who are eligible.
We also offer 30hr funding for those children who are eligible. To find out if you are eligible please check on
